Interesting idea and good decision of taking this as a black and white photo. Image itself is strong, but its' presentation could be more interesting to make composition as stong as your subject. A perspective that was perhaps tilted could improve the overall appeal of this photo.

if you cropped the top finger half way I would have liked to see the bottom the same.. or both fingers in full.
But for me If possible to go in close to glue only as an abstract..
